Brand Consultant, Oncology


 


Summary:  


This newly created role is a direct report to executive management of our vendor client’s California location.  Additional collaborations include senior leadership across their existing syndicated and custom research offerings.  The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding successful products with Oncology marketing and sales leaders.  With a focus on oncology commercialization and launch support [particularly with non oral offerings], the Brand Consultant will be responsible for life-cycle, multi-client and single-client projects.  Global responsibilities will include meeting with clients to determine project objectives, writing proposals, managing research projects, writing deliverables and presenting conclusions and recommendations to clients. 


Responsibilities:           



  • Market Research, Project Management & Client Service


Collaborate with client Oncology KOPs with the goal of providing successful syndicated and primary research offerings that will assist them with their product marketing, marketing management and product launch



  • Utilize oncology expertise(both qualitative and quantitative) to develop research elements, surveys, focus group materials

  • Strategize with regard to syndicated offerings and sources

  • Develop approach for oncology panel development including both academic and private practice oncologists (i.e. identification, purchase of lists, etc)

  • Work with clients to solidify research objectives and design research tools (I.e., surveys and discussion guides)

  • Conduct secondary research that assists with the development of insights for the oncology service

  • Utilize oncology expertise to develop research elements, surveys, focus group materials that will benefit oncology customers

  • Lead project teams (includes development and communication of budgets, project timelines and resource needs with internal team )

  • Utilize research results (primary data), team input, past experience and  secondary data to develop final conclusions and actionable client recommendations

  • Write presentations and final deliverables based on conclusions and recommendations

  • Lead final presentations at client meetings

  • Product Development & Sales Collaboration


Lead/drive and manage concept development process for new product offerings



  • Conduct concept research, analysis and testing for new and existing products

  • Conduct new product/service launch testing, monitoring and evaluation 

  • Partner with practice areas and senior managers to assure new product/service positioning goals are met

  • Lead product development committee

  • Partners with the marketing and sales teams to assure the market positioning, promotional materials and press releases/public relations is consistent with service needs and company standards


Position Requirements:



  • B.S. / B.A required [advanced degree a plus]

  • 5 plus years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries

  • 2 plus years sales and marketing of oncology products

    • Strong preference for brand or product management. 

    • Product launch experience desired

    • Infusible or injectable experience preferred



  • Superior project management experience

  • Ability to present to senior management and clients when necessary

  • Ability to travel as needed
